Holistic treatment
Our Services
-
Our team consists of specialists in surgery, neurology, neuropsychiatry, physiotherapy, and nursing.
-
The nurse specialist is the hub of care and is vital to providing medical and psychosocial support to patients and their families/caregivers. Patients are encouraged to maintain close contact with the nurse specialist, at least monthly, to inform the team of their status, whether improving, declining, or unchanged.
-
Unlike the traditional model of care where follow-up appointments tend to be booked at regular lengthy intervals, we want patients to feel supported and that our team is easily accessible. Patients will have ongoing access to the nurse specialist. Medical, surgical, and neuropsychiatric reassessment visits are scheduled on an as-needed basis in a timely fashion.
-
Consultation time is devoted to information gathering and assessment along with ample time to discuss proposed interventions.
Patients, family, and caregivers are provided education in-person or virtually along with instructional materials available on this website.
-
Medication and forms of psychotherapy are available to target both persistent physical symptoms and related mental health symptoms and issues.
-
Vestibular rehabilitation is an exercise based therapy focused on reducing symptoms of dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance. Assessment and treatment with a specially trained physiotherapist can help improve balance, increase tolerance for movement, and support return to the activities that are important to you.

Patients are always able to access interdisciplinary care, regardless of whether they accept treatment recommendations, maintain contact with the nurse specialist, or symptomatically improve. Each patient is at a different stage of recovery. Patients can easily re-access care simply by contacting the nurse specialist.
